Flying Budgets

Earlier this morning I tweeted:

Fact: the f-22 has not flown a single mission in Iraq or Afghanistan. Obviously this advertising superiority must be sustained.

As I wrote this on my phone before a staff meeting, I couldn’t provide a link. What I was referring to was the advertising push — I assume mostly within the beltway — attempting to drive procurement of 60  additional F-22s to the add to the 183 already collecting dust (at a bargain $137.5 million per unit, $8.2 billion dollars, or roughly $11,250 per-day-since-Jesus-was-born). More generally though, this post was just a transparent attempt to get you to follow me on Twitter.
