Happy New Year, everyone, and sorry for the infrequent nonexistent updates. The fact is that I’ve been enjoying my “staycation” between jobs and quite frankly, haven’t been able to muster the blogging gumption when languishing on the couch remains a quite viable alternative.
I’ll be back with greater regularity starting Monday, but did want to call attention to one of the best ways to bring in the New Year: daytime stabbings in your neighborhood.
Daytime U Street Stabbing: A little after 4 p.m. yesterday, a man was found at 12th and U Streets NW having been stabbed. MPD officers on the 3rd District email list described the incident as an assault with intent to kill that apparently broke out after an argument. The victim is in stable condition, and police are investigating.
Naturally, this reminded me of the seasonal safety requirements of the 12th and U 7-11, which incidentally, is about 100 feet from my building.
