Ben Smith has been hot on the trail of “Open for Questions,” Barack Obama’s website which allows users to pose questions and other users to vote on which questions they’d like to be answered. Smith notes that a “flag as inappropriate” function has allowed users to “bury” questions relating to disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich, a topic Obama initially was reticent to address at length.
But, in a press conference today, Obama reiterated he’s “certain” none of his staff were involved in any pay-t0-play shenanigans, and what’s more, his staff is working to compile and release all information regarding communication they may have had with Blagojevich. So, the question then is, what the hell else is left to answer?
Fitzgerald has said the complaint in no way involves Barack Obama, Obama has said the same, and he’s said he’s preparing any information he has for release. Is it possible some of this is untrue? Certainly, but for now, there’s nothing left to answer.
