Noting that daily tracking polls aren’t the most accurate indicator of a campaign’s performace, it sure is nice to see Obama leading Gallup 47-45.
UPDATE: Via Marc Ambinder, here are some polling data from five battleground states:
Florida: Obama 48, McCain 48
Indiana: McCain 51, Obama 45
North Carolina: McCain 48, Obama 47
Ohio: Obama 49, McCain 47
Wisconsin: Obama 50, McCain 47
Florida, obviously, has been a tough state for Democrats to win, but with David Plouffe revealing the Obama campaign is ready to spend $40 million in the state, perhaps sitting dead even 58 days out isn’t all that bad.
